2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games: a Taiwan guide to dates, rosters, baseball, and broadcasts

··4 min read

A multisport event rarely suffers from too little information. The problem is that qualification lists, training rosters, delegation entries, draws, daily schedules, and television grids all exist at once. Each can be accurate and still answer a different point in time.

The material below was checked through August 13, 2026. Fixed facts are separated from information that can still move. If you are reading during the Games, skip directly to the three official entry points in the source list and verify again.

Start with two dates and a one-hour time difference

An official start time of 19:00 in Japan is 18:00 in Taiwan. The Games span two weekends, and some qualification sessions may be clustered around the opening. Do not stop at the September 19 opening date; open the competition schedule for the sport you intend to watch.

Search down from the sport, not from one master graphic

The organizing committee has published competition schedules, while its ticketing guide warns that dates, times, and venues remain subject to change. The dependable route is sport, date, stage, venue, then session. Knockout opponents may not exist until the previous round ends.

A social graphic is useful for “what is on today,” not as the only itinerary. Delays, venue changes, and new sessions after qualification may never reach every reposted image. Ticket buyers and travelers should use the official competition and ticketing pages.

Chinese Taipei entries: the NOC page is closer to the final answer than a training announcement

The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee’s Games page lists delegation athletes by sport and is the primary Taiwan entry point for official participants. Earlier selection, training, and camp rosters from individual federations describe candidates in preparation. They are not automatically the final registered team.

A difference between two lists does not necessarily mean one is wrong. Qualification, injury, club release, or a coaching decision can change an entry, and the spelling or event registration can also be updated. This guide does not copy the full roster, avoiding a search result that remains online after a replacement.

Baseball is where three stages are most often confused

The Chinese Taipei Baseball Association training roster describes the selection pool. The baseball roster on the TPE NOC delegation page is closer to the Games registration state. The organizing committee’s draw and schedule determine groups and matchups. Check which layer a baseball report is discussing before sharing it.

A player’s professional club, health, or eligibility can still force a late change. To follow one athlete efficiently, check the NOC delegation first, the official sport page second, and federation reports last for the selection background.

Watching in Taiwan: the rights are confirmed, individual feeds still need a schedule

ELTA has announced that it holds the exclusive Taiwan master rights and named Public Television Service, Videoland, Eastern Broadcasting, ELTA on MOD, Hami Video, ELTA.tv, LiTV, and LINE TODAY among the television and online outlets. That provides multiple potential entry points; it does not mean every outlet will carry every event.

Many sports run simultaneously. Channel allocation, streaming feeds, free-versus-paid access, and replay coverage depend on the program grid published closer to competition. If you only follow one sport, check whether a service offers the full feed and replay before subscribing.

If you are traveling to watch, verify two more times

Confirm the venue before buying intercity transport. Despite the Aichi-Nagoya name, venues are spread around Aichi Prefecture; not every session is a short walk from Nagoya Station. Then check the start time and entry rules again within 48 hours, and keep the ticket, identification, and venue transport page available offline.

Large events punish stale information. Separating what the organizing committee, the NOC, and the broadcaster each control is more dependable than saving one “complete guide” image. This article keeps its verification date visible; when you are about to buy, subscribe, or leave, return to the source.
